Apple, ClarkConnect and UNSW by: adam
Three things I have been working on for the past while, or atleast those things consuming the majority time.  First of is Apple, with the introduction of the Mac Pro today and my joy with my     MacBook Pro, things are definately looking up for Apple.
I was going to write a review of my MacBook Pro four months ago when I first bought it however it seemed there were already more reviews than units sold so there is no need.  Just breifly though, It is without a doubt the best laptop I have ever owned, both light and powerful it gets any job done.  And since its a Mac, it always seems to work and look great!

Secondly is the brilliant Linux distro ClarkConnect.  With an easy installation and web administration interface its the perfect linux distro to set up a file server, web server or firewall amongst other things.  Using it and an HP e-Vectra you have one nice small file and webserver- which I am glad to say I now have.  Granted it is Linux so if you actually need to access the system it is at the command line, I would prefer Mac OS X server anyday but who can afford that for a home network?

Then there's UNSW, which is quite possibly the best uni around and definately has the best Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department in Australia. So, what makes it so good anyway?  Is it the many computer labs or swayed couches or free printing and wireless access or maybe that no matter where you go it just seems like fun.  No other school in the UNI has everything as together and cares as much about it's students as the school of CSE.  Definately makes one proud to be a Student Rep.

Regards and Have a nice day.
